English lessons, like all other lessons should be taught by using a complete plan and schedule. If the teacher of little kids has a fixed curriculum of English syllabus that should be taught, he/she will be more relaxed. In this article, we are going to talk about some of the English syllabus for kindergarten students.

Before thinking about English syllabus

Teachers should know that the goal behind these lessons is helping students with learning English and getting them to speak in complete sentences. Furthermore, kids need to get to an understanding of deeper meanings of sentences and comprehend what they are reading. Moreover, teachers need to build up an adequate range of vocabulary in kids that they can use in order to talk about any subject.

The very first lesson that we suggest

In this lesson, kids will learn some adjectives like happy, sad, good, fine, angry, sleepy and mad. These words can be used in order to answer the question ‘how are you’.
How old are you? as mentioned before, the goal of English syllabus of kindergarten is to help kids to learn easy sentences that are needed for making a conversation.

Knowing how to talk about your age is one of the most common ways of making conversation and also making friends in early childhood. Kids need to learn to say ‘I am _ years old’ in the answer. The vocabulary that children will learn in this lesson, are numbers like five, six, seven, eight. Bellow are some examples of common English syllabus:

Colors:

next lessons that little kids need to learn is about colors. In this lesson, as well as colors like pink, red, blue, purple, green and gray, teachers can make a list of different objects that people use so often in their speaking like car, apple, balloon, chair and heart. This way, kids can learn to make sentences in which they define objects by their colors.

Grammar nouns:

the aim of this lesson is practicing nouns of people in English and the vocabulary that the teacher needs to focus on, are mother, father, boy, girl, she, he, baby, brother and sister and so on. After this lesson, kids will learn how to call people and how to use them in their sentences.

Math lesson ‘1-20’:

in this lesson, the teacher will talk about numbers and teach them to the class. The goal is to help kids learn how to count 1-20 and answer questions that start with ‘how many’. At first, the focus of the teacher will be only on the numbers and the fact that kids memorize them correctly and with the right order. After that, when kids memorized all the 20 numbers, the teachers need to use some upper level practices and ask questions like ‘is 19 before 18?’ and questions like that. This way, learners can both count things and memorize the order of numbers.

Short A:

this lesson is designed in order to practice letter A phonics by learning and memorizing some English words that have the sound of short A in them. The vocabulary that is required for this lesson is words like ant, apple, act and so on.

Letter B:

this lesson has the goal of practicing the letter B and different words that have this letter in them. Words that are going to be practiced in the classroom are bat, banana, bird, and so on.
Big and small: this lesson is about the size of the objects and kids will learn how to define different objects by their size. The vocabulary that is needed for this lesson will be a combination of some small and some big objects to use as examples to teach the meaning of these words to kids. for example, elephants are big, birds are small, bees are small, ants are smaller than pigs and so on.

Fat and thin:

another lesson that is suitable for young learners is the concept of size from another view. In this lesson, kids will learn the words ‘fat’ and ‘thin’ and try to make sentences using these words. for this lesson the teacher can use animals and describe their size with the words ‘fat’ and ‘thin’.
Same and different: this lesson is about differences. In this lesson, teachers will talk about different things and teach kids how to tell tow things are different or not. Kids also learn to talk about similarities of things if those things have anything in common.

Places:

the last lesson that we are going to talk about in this article is the nouns of places. In this lesson, kids will memorize names of different places like restaurant, stationary store, supermarket, school, house, mall, ice cream shop, hospital, the zoo and so on.
